Mr. William Russell is the Logistics (LG) and Health Services (SG) Branch Chief, Test Support Division (TSD), Arnold Engineering and Development Complex (AEDC). He oversees an array of logistics support services across AEDC to include its nine Geographically Separated Units (GSU’s). The logistics support activities performed at Arnold AFB (AAFB) are achieved through two services support contractors via the administration of two services contracts valued at $2B; S-CAT I and S-CAT III level agreements. He further leads a Medical Aid Station that is responsible for myriad of patient health, occupational safety, as well as bioenvironmental services. To accomplish this workload TSD-LG/SG is organized into the following sections and functions: AEF Deployments, Fuels, Material Management, Munitions, Support Agreements/Base Support Plans, Transportation, Vehicle Fleet Mananagment, Traffic Management Office, and Medical Aid Station.
Prior to this assignment Mr. Russell was Air Force Material Command’s Change Control Process Manager wherein he served as the gatekeeper and manager of system modification plans for over 225 Air Force logistics information technology (LOG IT) systems and Functional Manager for four legacy LOG IT systems.
Mr. Russell began his Air Force career in 1983 as a Material Facilities Specilist. He served 26 years on active duty in a variety of supply chain management, logistics readiness and maintenance operations positions at multiple duty locations. He retired from active duty in 2009 as a Chief Master Sergeant upon entering civil service at Robins AFB, GA.
