Mr. Gary S. Wollam is the Director of the 704th Test Group’s Aerospace Survivability and Safety Office (704 TG/OL-AC) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The 704 TG/OL-AC is an operating location (OL) that is part of the 704th Test Group, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico and the Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The 704 TG/OL-AC supports DoD acquisition and sustainment requirements through world-class capabilities for aircraft survivability and landing gear systems RDT&E, enabling more survivable and safer operations of warfighter aircraft. As Director, Mr. Wollam overseas the day-to-day operations of a geographically separated unit consisting of over 80 civilian and contractor personnel and several survivability and landing gear test facilities.

Mr. Wollam’s career began in 1984 when he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and he has since held a myriad of engineering and management assignments on various aircraft, space, and weapon system acquisition programs. His experience includes multiple laboratory, test, program office and staff assignments at several different product centers as well as staff assignments at Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command. Mr. Wollam's leadership, supervisory, engineering and management experience range from small administrative teams to larger RDT&E projects and organizations. His technical knowledge and skills encompass detailed engineering analyses, research and development, software and simulation development, integration and test, and systems engineering. His experience further involves working and supporting various joint service programs and initiatives.
