Willie Jo Taylor, second from right, a retiree of AEDC, received the AEDC African American Heritage Committee Achievement of Excellence award at the luncheon Feb. 16 at Arnold Lakeside Center. Taylor was one of the first black females to work at AEDC as part of a stay-in-school program in 1979.
