Dr. Woodrow Whitlow, Jr., center, technical director for the AEDC Test Operations and Sustainment contractor, receives recognition at the Cleveland Cavaliers half-time Feb. 25 as part of a Black Heritage Celebration honoring pioneers in space travel. Whitlow was the first African-American director of Research and Technology at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland, Ohio, and served in this role from September 1998 until September 2003.
