Mr. John W. Laviolette is the Base Civil Engineer, Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold AFB, Tennessee. In this position, he leads the Civil Engineer Branch responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services to include facility and utility infrastructure investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and fire and emergency management.
Mr. Laviolette was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force in 1983 and retired a Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years of service. Throughout his career, he served in various leadership roles at base level and major command assignments supporting the mission of the U.S. Air Force. He entered federal civil service in February 2003 and has served as a Civil Engineer Program Manager, Engineering Flight Chief, Test Systems Sustainment Program Manager and Base Civil Engineer. He is a native of Hudson Massachusetts.
