The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Tennessee Section recently held an annual awards luncheon where professional engineers were recognized for their significant technical accomplishments, outstanding achievements and support to AIAA Section activities. Dexter Watkins (left), a member of the Vanderbilt University Aerospace Club, receives the AIAA Special Award for sustained and outstanding achievement in aerospace engineering, as evidenced by winning the overall championship of the NASA University Space Launch Initiative. He receives the award from Vanderbilt University Faculty Advisor and Professor Amrutur Anilkumar.

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Tennessee Section recently held an annual awards luncheon where professional engineers were recognized for their significant technical accomplishments, outstanding achievements and support to AIAA Section activities. A donation was recently presented by the Arnold Community Council to assist the Franklin County Air Force Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps in providing cadets with materials for the new school year.
