Watertown resident David Yoest receives ATA award Published Dec. 22, 2008 By 208132 Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. -- Watertown resident David Yoest, an Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) Six Sigma master black belt for Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), was recognized as a department employee of the quarter. Yoest was recognized for taking his experience over the last five years of deploying ATA's process-based management system. He has shared the experiences, lessons and best practices with an entirely different, but similar, organization by helping them bootstrap a process based management system from a traditional organization of separately-directed departments. In doing so, he has visited on approximately 10 different occasions, working side-by-side and advising top management as well as giving this organization a tremendous leg up in accelerating their efforts. Skilled in various facilitation techniques, this activity he has delivered in a corporate reach back role is the culmination of his entire career. Yoest has worked at AEDC for 25 years.
