Welcome to AEDC

AEDC's greatest asset remains our people. Our dedicated staff is highly skilled and experienced in all aspects of test and evaluation processes. From test technology development to design and fabrication of complex test articles, our expertise covers the spectrum.

This guide provides details on our facilities, capabilities and support functions. I believe that you will find it useful to your plans to relocate to AEDC.

Base Access

Arnold AFB requires unique employee and visitor identification badges for entry to the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

For military and DoD Civilian Personnel: the Personnel office staff will submit the required paperwork to the AEDC Visitor Center for processing of your employee identification badge when they receive your PCS orders. Employee identification badges are issued at the Visitor Center adjacent to the Main Gate, upon arrival at Arnold AFB. Family members 16 years or older of Active Duty military assigned to AEDC will be issued identification badges upon request of the military member. Family members in possession of a valid badge are permitted limited access to the main base which includes the cafeteria and administration area(s) of the active duty sponsors' work center. Military Personnel staff process all requests for family member identification badges.

Contractors are issued an employee identification badge during in-processing.

The Visitor Center has a Department of Defense RAPIDS ID card machine and can provide Identification Cards issuance for all branches of services within all components (active, Guard, Reserve, civilian, family member/dependent) during the established hours of operation.

For issuance of ID cards, the military member and/or family member must have two forms of identification: 1) Either a current ID card or a driver's license w/photo and 2) a birth certificate, Social Security registration card, valid passport or voter's registration card.  Expired ID cards will NOT be honored.

Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (CLOSED on all Federal Holidays)

For more information, contact AEDC Visitor Center at (931) 454-5453 or by DSN 340-5453.
