The Test and Communications Branch, or TSDI operates across the Arnold Engineering Development Complex as part of the Test Support Division located at Arnold Air Force Base (AFB). The TSDI team provides the computer networks, test chamber data collection equipment, analysis tools, and functional expertise to ensure our test data is collected, analyzed and securely delivered to both local users and test customers.
TSDI is comprised of the following three sections:
1. Plans and Operations (TSDIA)
2. Test Information Systems (TSDIB)
3. Cybersecurity (TSDIC)
All three sections work together to meet the test mission requirements at Arnold AFB, the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex at Moffett Field in Mountain View, California, and the AEDC Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel 9 in White Oak, Maryland. The TSDI team, comprised of US Air Force civilians and contractors, also works closely with the other geographically separated units across AEDC to ensure they have the information technology systems necessary to meet mission requirements.
The diverse and highly qualified team depicted in our display, stands ready to address AEDC’s Test Instrumentation, Base Communications and Cybersecurity operational requirements now and into the foreseeable future, in support of our National Defense Strategy. \
