Arnold Main Gate structure arrives, next phase in progress Published Dec. 22, 2008 By 208137 Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. -- The new main gate structure was delivered early last week by Enterprises, Inc., in South El Monte, Calif. The next phase is the installation of the gatehouse and canopy foundations and erection of the canopy steel. According to Ronnie Crownover, ATA job monitor, the new gate reconstruction is slated to open in October. Back in May the gate closed for roadwork and facility replacement. The Pass & Registration building just outside the Main Gate remains open. Center visitors (other than authorized Base Exchange commissary patrons or VA clinic patients or retired military personnel accessing the base medical clinic) will need to process through Pass & Registration then enter through Gate #1by the fitness center off Wattendorf Highway.
