The AEDC Test, Operations and Sustainment contractor, National Aerospace Solutions, LLC, recently finalized an Employee Recognition Program which honors team members for support to the AEDC mission.

The TOS contract team members have given their support and talents to the nation and Airmen in technical and administrative expertise, leadership and years of service.

“We have very talented colleagues that accomplish amazing things,” said Cynthia Rivera, NAS general manager. “Having a way to highlight that talent, such as our Employee Recognition Program, enables us to celebrate their great work and highlight how it benefits our team, our mission and our nation’s defense.”

NAS team members, including NAS, LLC, Chugach Federal Solutions, Inc. and nLogic, are able to nominate individuals to receive recognition.

One of the awards that employees have received recently, at Arnold Air Force Base, the National Full-scale Aerodynamic Complex, California, and the Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel 9, Maryland, is the Directorate Spot Award. This award recognizes employees who demonstrate behaviors and values of the organization, as well as contributions to the goals and objectives of individual departments. This award can be given to an individual or team.

When a team member has demonstrated significant accomplishments that support strategic objectives, customer satisfaction, employee morale, continuous improvement or cost savings, they may be nominated to receive the Significant Contributor Award. This award can also be given to an individual or team.

On Nov. 16, the Salute to Excellence Annual Awards Banquet will be held at the Arnold Lakeside Center, where presentations will be given for the: Quality Award, Safety Award, Security Award, Innovation Award, Customer Service Excellence Award, Program/Project Manager of the Year, Technician of the Year, Engineering Design and Facilities Professional of the Year, Science and Technology Professional of the Year, Technical Project Leader of the Year, Engineering Analysis of the Year and Engineer of the Year. Employees were nominated based on their superior performance in supporting the company’s core values and in technical excellence.

Other types of recognition provided by the program include AEDC Service Awards and Retirement Awards.

After a NAS employee has provided their skills and talents to the mission at AEDC for five years, they are eligible to receive a Service Award. The Service Award is presented at 10-year increments after the first five years.

The Retirement Award recognizes retiring NAS employees for their career in serving AEDC.
