AEDC announces FARM II contract companies

Healtheon Inc., Turner Construction Company, Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc. and expFederal, Inc. were selected to perform the work required under the multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity Facilities Acquisitions for Restoration and Modernization II, or FARM II, contract for Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

FARM II is a five-year, $300 million firm-fixed-price contract that provides for mechanical; electrical; instrumentation, data and control; and/or design-build projects. These projects include infrastructure sustainment, restoration and modernization to support the research, development, test and evaluation mission of AEDC.

“The award of the FARM II contract is a key step toward restoring and modernizing AEDC facilities to ensure that we have the capabilities needed to meet mission requirements,” said John Lominac Jr., services acquisition program manager in the AEDC Program Management Office. “The FARM II contract will be a valuable tool over the next five years as projects are executed that are vital to the accomplishment of the AEDC mission.”

The work will be performed at Arnold AFB; National Full Scale Aerodynamics Complex at Mountain View, California; Tunnel 9 at White Oak, Maryland; McKinley Climatic Laboratory at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; and the 704th Test Group at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, to include the geographically separated units of the 704th TG: Operating Location-AA at Kirkland Air Force Base, New Mexico; and Operating Location-AC at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; and the 586th Flight Test Squadron at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

Contract performance began March 7.
