ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. -- Boiling is no longer needed before consuming water at Arnold Village and Family Camp area on Arnold Air Force Base as of 1:55 p.m., Aug. 15. On Aug. 14, the Arnold Village residents and Family Camp occupants were notified of the need to boil all tap water used for drinking and cooking purposes.
At this time the water pressure has been restored and water samples collected within the affected area have come back negative, confirming the water is safe for consumption.
What do I do after a boil water notice is lifted?
Residents are advised to flush their water following the lifting of a boil water notice to clear plumbing of potentially contaminated water. Flushing your household and building water lines includes interior and exterior faucets, showers, water and ice dispensers.
