New Arnold web page provides updates on sequestration impact information for AEDC Published Feb. 22, 2013 By Raquel March AEDC/PA ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. -- Leadership at AEDC recently activated a web page which will provide sequestration impact information which relates to the complex. The web page may be accessed by going to www.arnold.af.mil/sequestration. Beginning March 1, across-the-board reductions to current year spending will occur unless legislation is enacted that avoids such reductions. The Department of Defense (DOD) is one of several government agencies that will experience a significant budget cut. Sequestration may affect the complex's ability to do important work, which could harm national security. All services or facilities which employ civilian personnel will be affected to some degree and there will be adverse effects in the economies of local communities. Sequestration cuts may require all military services and defense agencies to furlough most DOD civilian employees for an average of one day per week for up to 22 weeks beginning April 25.
