AEDC to participate in Kiwanis Air Show

Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) is co-sponsoring the Kiwanis Air Show and Fireworks Display July 1 at the Tullahoma Airport as part of the center's 60th anniversary celebration.

Parking and gates open at 3 p.m. The only entry point to the event will be the main gate beside the terminal building at the airport. Admission is free and concessions will be available. The rain date will be July 2.

The featured act of the show will be the A-10 Warthogs. A number of static aircraft will be open for display to the public with pilots available to answer questions. AEDC will also have several displays highlighting the center's history and contribution to the A-10 program.

The fireworks will begin around 8:45 p.m. and last about 30 minutes.

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen, hats, water in coolers or backpacks and flashlights. Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
