AEDC contractor award fee announced

ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. -- The Air Force today announced an award fee rating of 92 for the Arnold Engineering Development Center's (AEDC) operating contractor, Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA), for the period October 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011.

The award fee determining official, Randall Culpepper, gave the company an excellent overall rating for their performance. ATA earned an excellent or very good in all 70 of the areas evaluated.

This is the last award fee for ATA General Manager, Dr. David Elrod, who will be joining Jacobs Technology in Tullahoma. "I am always impressed by the innovation, hard work, and dedicated service of the ATA team in fulfilling the mission of AEDC," Elrod said.

ATA shares a half of a percent of the earned award fee with the eligible work force for each point above 90. Employees will receive one percent of the award fee this time.

ATA was awarded the center support and testing contract on June 30, 2003. The operating contract is for up to 12 years and worth potentially $2.7 billion. ATA currently employs 1,924 regular, full-time people from 15 Tennessee counties and four states.

ATA is a joint venture of Jacobs Engineering, Computer Sciences Corp. and General Physics Corp.
