The award fee determining official, Brig. Gen. Wendy Masiello approved an award fee of $6,984,500 for ATA, with a score of 98 percent. The score results in 100 percent of their possible award fee. "This is the highest score ever earned by ATA and represents excellent performance across our entire contract," said ATA General Manager Dr. David Elrod. "In addition to earning the highest score in ATA's tenure, employees' efforts led to excellent ratings of every single functional area of the contract and in each of the improvement and emphasis areas. In accordance with our past practice, ATA will be sharing a portion of these earnings with our workforce through our award fee sharing program. My thanks and appreciation goes out to each member of the team for their hard work this past period." ATA was awarded the center support and testing contract on June 30, 2003. The operating contract is for up to 12 years and worth potentially $2.7 billion. ATA currently employs more than 2,300 people from 15 Tennessee counties and four states.
