Air Force extends Morris Ferry information request deadline Published Aug. 9, 2007 By Joel Fortner AEDC/PA ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. -- Air Force officials announced today they have extended the deadline for responding to the Request for Information (RFI) to gauge interest and alternative business models in operating Morris Ferry Dock. The RFI process allows interested parties to provide their perspectives, which the government can use in deciding how to pursue a solicitation. The new response deadline is Sept. 17. The original response deadline was Aug. 13. "We extended the response deadline to give parties interested in operating Morris Ferry Dock a greater opportunity to submit questions and get answers they need before responding to the RFI," said Bill Lamb, deputy director of Contracting. "We're extending the deadline because we want people to have all of the information they need to produce good responses to the RFI." Questions are due to Bill Lamb by Aug. 13, and answers will be supplied to all current interested parties and published on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site at www.fedBizopps.gov by Aug. 27. "We look forward to working more with the people who have shown interest so far, and welcome any new parties who would still like respond to the RFI," Lamb said. To submit questions or for more information about the RFI, contact Bill Lamb at 931-454-4407 or email Bill.lamb@arnold.af.mil.
