Aerospace Testing Alliance receives ISO recertification Published July 12, 2007 By Janae' Daniels AEDC/PA ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. -- The Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) ISO 9001:2000 re-certification audit was conducted June 19-22. The two-man audit team revealed no nonconformance's to the ISO Standard, resulting in continued ATA ISO Certification. This is a truly substantial accomplishment. Continuing the certification is significant as it is a contract requirement with the Air Force and mandatory by many of the User/Test customers of Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) facilities. Additionally, several positive indications (noteworthy or best practices) were identified by the auditors. The focus of the audit was to primarily assess maintenance of the originally certified Management System (policies, procedures, work instructions, etc.) that met the requirements of the standard to deliver contract and customer requirements. Secondary was to search for consistent evidence that the system was maturing and continually improving. "Each ATA employee contributed to this major accomplishment," J.T. Northcutt, ATA Quality manager said. "We are to be proud of what we have accomplished over the past three years. Keeping our certification will be dependent upon each of us continuing to comply with our documented prescribed way of performing work and being customer focused."
