Forget Punxsutawney Phil.

After all, he didn't see his shadow on Groundhog Day. But, had he come to AEDC, he would have seen about 42 of them.

Job Shadow Day gives students an up-close look at what a "real job" is like and illustrates how the skills they learn in school are put to use in the workplace.

Local middle and high school students began their day with a base tour where they learned the importance of the AEDC mission.

After lunch, they spent the day with their parent or sponsor learning how individuals contribute to that mission.
The students participating in the day ranged in grade from eighth to 12th and represented 15 middle and high schools.
2007 marked the 10th year of the Job Shadow program in Tennessee.
