AEDC Outdoor Rec invites you to Brave the Trail at Fright Fest 2015

ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, TENN. --  Outdoor Rec, a part of the AEDC Services Branch, is hosting Fright Fest Oct. 29, 6-9 p.m. at Crockett Cove.

This event is for all ages, open to the public and includes costume contests for adults and children with top three winning prizes for each. There will also be a bonfire, hot dog roasting and s'mores, an outdoor movie and a scary trail. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 6-12. Under age six is free.

Crockett Cove is located on Northshore Road between the Gossick Leadership Center and UTSI crossroads. Parking will be located just before the fork on the right in the grass lot. Upon arrival, head over to the main pavilion, as the event kicks off with the costume contest. Once prizes are awarded, the trail tours, hot dogs and s'mores begin. The trail and lodge tours are led by a guide in small groups of 6-10 individuals and lasts 25-30 minutes. Listen for announcements for tours to begin and where to gather.

The trail is through the woods with some hills and uneven surfaces so wear appropriate shoes. Because it is a dark, wooded trail and there will be scary elements and skits along the way, parent discretion will determine age appropriateness.
Those unable to trek through the woods may still tour the lodge by asking a tour guide or event coordinator. Because of the nature of Halloween, be forewarned that the spooky trail and scary lodge may involve creepy, bloody, gory, and disturbing details or images.

For those who are waiting to take the tour or haven't quite built up the courage yet, the movie will get underway on the grassy area near the pavilion about 7:30 p.m. showing "Minions," rated PG with a runtime of one hour, 31 minutes. Feel free to bring blankets
or chairs.
