AEDC personnel recognized at UTSI graduation reception Published April 27, 2015 By Raquel March AEDC/PA ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, TENN. -- The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) will host a reception for UTSI graduates in the main lobby of the Academic Building on May 4 at 3 p.m. Four Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) personnel are part of the graduating class. They are: Joshua Hartman, Summer 2014 graduate - Master of Science in mechanical engineering; Reginald Floyd, Fall 2014 graduate - Master of Science in mechanical engineering; Brent Rodgers, Fall 2014 graduate - Master of Science in mechanical engineering; and Richard Kirkpatrick, Spring 2015 graduate - Master of Science in aerospace engineering. The speaker for the reception is Dr. Mary Lou Apple, president of Motlow State Community College (MSCC). Apple is the fifth president of MSCC. Under her leadership, Motlow was recognized as one of the 50 top community colleges and one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation by Community College Week, and received the Excellence in Business Ovation award from the Cumberland Business Journal. Apple was recognized by Murfreesboro Magazine as one of the Ten Most Influential Business Women in Rutherford County. She was also recognized by the Tullahoma Chamber for the 2015 Inaugural Women Impacting the Community for her work in education. To attend the reception, make reservations by calling 393-7234.
