Representatives from 18 companies attended a Site Visit held July 15-16, for the future Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS) Range Task Order hosted by the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) Source Selection Office.

The TMAS Range Task Order requirements at AEDC are part of a larger AEDC-led acquisition strategy which will divide mission requirements - currently performed by Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) - into six separate contracts. Four of those contracts, including TMAS, will be strategically sourced, while the remaining two contracts will be locally competed and managed.

This Advisory and Assistance Services effort will be awarded by the 96th Test Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The TMAS Range Task Order is anticipated to be awarded during the third quarter of fiscal year 2015 with a performance start date planned for Sept. 1, 2015.

The TMAS Range Task Order competition will provide engineering and management support to Major Range and Test Facility Base test ranges and test facilities which support test and evaluation activities.

Site Visit participants received several briefings on the areas included in the TMAS Range Task Order effort.

At AEDC the task order will include:

· Aeropropulsion ground test and evaluation (T&E), analysis, and reporting; strategic planning

· Wind tunnel ground T&E, analysis, and reporting; strategic planning

· Space and Missiles T&E, analysis, and reporting; strategic planning

· Test technology development and transition, modeling and simulation, strategic planning
