Driven by Determination: Arnold AFB Employee Finishes Fall Creek Falls 100-Mile Challenge

Arnold Air Force Base employee Ashley Rose-Nalin completed the Fall Creek Falls 100-mile race that took place on Nov. 22-23, 2025, at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer, Tenn. She completed the race in 29 hours and 29 minutes. To add to her accomplishment of finishing a grueling 100- mile race, she also placed third among female runners. Arnold AFB economic impact exceeds $1 billion in fiscal year 2025

The economic impact of Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee was $1.2 billion for the 2025 fiscal year. From Base to Desert: AEDC Branch Chief Joins Son in 240-Mile Ultramarathon Journey

At age 69, Mike Dent, AEDC Technical Management Branch Chief at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., is very active, running three miles two to three times each week. Cognizant of the important task of a pacer during an ultramarathon such as the Moab 240, Mike trained for a month before the race.
