AEDC's STEM spokesperson addresses national educational challenges and how to tackle them
Kemp Brooks, an engineer in AEDC’s Capability and Integration Branch, cut colored pieces of paper to make the fins, or canards for his rocket at a recent STEM presentation on base. His experience with the rockets and other educational aids the STEM program offers will enable Brooks to help promote careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to young people (Kindergarten through senior high school students) at STEM events held in surrounding communities.
