Despite changes through history, engine testing remains the same at AEDC's Core
The first jet engine test at AEDC in 1953 required design and construction of a thrust stand for the J47 turbojet engine used in calibrating the T-1 high-altitude test cell. The J47 engine was for the B-47 bomber.
