Coworkers, base first responders mobilize to save a life
Far left and right Jim Phillips and Tim Mansfield, Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) paramedics with the Arnold Engineering Development Center Fire Department, watch as Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory’s Dale West and Gary Fergus demonstrate how they administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to a coworker, Michael Bunch, Feb. 11. Phillips and Mansfield were the two EMTs who responded to the 911 call placed that day by Brad Pearson, an ATA instrument technician in the lab. Mansfield is also a CPR instructor on base. Doctors told Bunch he should be able to return to work in about three weeks. (Photo by Rick Goodfriend)
