AEDC hosts site visit from Redstone Test Center representatives

Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Fuels Specialists James Lucas and Sam McKelvey standby as the Army UH-60H Blackhawk helicopter carrying four Redstone Test and Training Center (RTTC) representatives, land at Arnold Air Force Base’s airfield Oct. 21. They were at Arnold for a site visit with AEDC leadership to discuss the possibility of conducting an undetermined amount of helicopter flight testing at Arnold’s airfield over the next few years. According to Murray King, the Flight Systems Assets Manager at Arnold, the discussions were only preliminary at this point in time. He said the RTTC is interested in AEDC as one of several outlying areas they might use as the flight test mission is moved from Fort Rucker to Redstone [Ala.] as part of a Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative.
