Minds in Motion
As part of educating members of the surrounding communities about AEDC, Arnold AFB hosted its second annual Minds in Motion tour Sept. 23-25. The tour was created for 8th grade students and included schools from Tullahoma and Manchester. The event is aimed at promoting math and science as well as endorsing AEDC, the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) and the Air Force in terms of future students, employees and military recruitment. In addition to showcasing AEDC, UTSI provided demonstrations and experiments for the students to participate. Capt. Brandon Herndon and 2nd Lt. Jason Lackey brief a group of 8th graders about how testing models are installed in the PWT wind tunnels. (Photo by Rick Goodfriend)
