McCarthy makes first visit to AEDC
William J. McCarthy, deputy director of Net-Centric, Space and Missile Defense systems, from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E), made his first visit to Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Sept. 15-16. McCarthy toured several test facilities and witnessed a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense’s (THAAD) Live-Fire Test and Evaluation program test in the center’s hypervelocity impact and ballistic range (G-Range). Randy Quinn, facility briefer, explains the center’s J-6 rocket development test cell to McCarthy as AEDC Commander Col.
