Future EA-18G undergoes store separation testing at AEDC
ATA Outside Machinist Larry Towry speaks through a microphone to test personnel in the AEDC’s 16-foot transonic wind tunnel (16T) control room who are operating the metal arm, or sting, with a wing store above the A/E-18G model. Towry is ensuring the 16T control operators do not damage the wing store or aircraft model during subsequent testing by exceeding “touch points” of contact between the components.
