Grinding away
The stump grinding work on Wattendorf Memorial Highway that began earlier this month will proceed from the Main Gate to I-24, back toward the Main Gate on to Rowland Ditch, then down South Hap Arnold Drive, then on to Tullahoma on the south side of the highway. Then back toward Rowland Ditch Drive on the north side of the highway. The period of the contract goes through November 2007. The Gyro-Trac mulching machine is used to follow the tracked stump grinder to mulch the large chunks of debris into finer mulch and scatter the mulch over the work area. (Photo by Rick Goodfriend)
