Exercise team conducts base training

A search and recovery (SAR) survey an area near Arnold Engineering Development Center’s airfield, the simulated crash site of a C-130 Hercules that had been flying a training mission over Arnold when the aircraft experienced an in-flight emergency and engine fire. The SAR team members included, from left, Airman 1st Class Eric Ball, Senior Master Sgt. Curtis Allen, Tech. Sgt. Jamie Johnson and 2nd Lt. Alexander Henning. Their job is to locate, classify and document all human remains and associated debris before transporting everything to a central location for disposition. (Photo by Rick Goodfriend)
