Showcasing the service
Twenty-five civic leaders from the communities surrounding Arnold Air Force Base (AFB) toured Robins AFB, Ga., June 12 as a part of a Community Relations Tour, hosted by Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Commander Col. Art Huber. One of the stops at Robins AFB was a tour of an E-8C aircraft, also known as the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System or JSTARS. The flight crew of the E-8C showed the leaders the cockpit, crew stations and surveillance equipment of the extensively remanufactured and modified Boeing 707-300 series commercial airframe.
