All in the family
From left, Cheryl Richards, a distant cousin through the Overstreet-Sevier families, stands with Pixy Morgan, a past vice president with the Tennessee Genealogical Society, in front of the former headquarters in Brunswick, Tenn. Morgan is the author of “Six Generations of Overstreets and their Allied Families: Beginning 18th Century Virginia to 20th Century Middle Tennessee, Knox, Overton, Clay and Jackson Counties.” Morgan has also helped Judy Henry, a southern Louisiana native and retired teacher, with tracing her husband’s family history. A fellow genealogy aficionado, Henry said that Morgan has not only contributed significantly to her own research, but their online encounter has been “a real pleasure to get to know a bit about her personally, too, over the years, as well as, collaborate on our research.” She added that Morgan “makes a quality contribution to any endeavor she pursues.” (Photo provided)
