All under control
Arnold Engineering Development Center’s (AEDC) 4-foot Transonic Wind Tunnel Control Room has been upgraded into a state-of-the-art test operations center. The operations center is equipped with new audio, video and networked information systems. The renovation, which totaled around a million dollars, allows for increased situational awareness, security upgrades and a better working environment for the operator and the test customer. Pictured from left to right cutting the ribbon is Air Force Project Manager Kemp Brooks, 716th Test Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Vanessa Bond, AEDC Commander Col. Art Huber, Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) Project Manager Kim Thompson and Acting ATA Deputy General Manager Steve Pearson. (Photo by Rick Goodfriend)
