Col. Robert Bender, the 704th Mission Support Group commander at Arnold, listens as Benjamin Lindsey, who was an Army Specialist serving in Vietnam, shares his memories during AEDC’s annual VA Picnic at the Arnold Lakeside Club Oct. 3. Colonel Bender, representing center Commander Col. Art Huber, welcomed the veterans to Arnold and gave the opening remarks at the beginning of the event. He also helped serve the picnic lunch and circulated among the veterans, listening to them as they related past experiences and shared their perspective of current events and concerns.
