AEDC transonic wind tunnel undergoes calibration
A centerline pipe, pictured here, is used to measure pressure and determine test conditions in the 16-foot transonic wind tunnel at AEDC. According to Michael Mills, wind tunnel performance engineer, this process is known as calibrating the tunnel and takes place every few years to ensure that correct conditions are being simulated in 16T.
