Recognizing the 25th anniversary of Desert Storm: AEDC tested technology that gave U.S. military the edge
AEDC personnel check a quick-opening at the F107 turbofan engine's exhaust nozzle. The door was opened as air was supplied to the engine's inlet to simulate an in-flight start. The F107 engine powers Air-Launch Cruise Missiles, such as the AGM-86C used by the B-52 bomber. (AEDC Photo-1975)
