Eagle population increases at Arnold
Two new bald eagles have increased the eagle population at Arnold Air Force Base to four. One of the eagles is shown here in 2013 at approximately 1 year old. Bald eagles of this age will have mostly brown plumage, black bill, brown eyes and yellow feet. As they reach a mature age of 5 years, their bill and eyes will turn yellow and the feathers on their head and tail will turn white. (Courtesy photo/John Lamb)
