Rake fabricated at AEDC Model and Machine shop to be used for flow calibration at NFAC
AEDC craftsman Michael Money works on rake hardware at the AEDC Model and Machine Shop prior to the item being shipped to the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex at the Ames Research Facility, California. The rake, which was fully fabricated at the machine shop at Arnold AFB, will be used this summer in the Phase II Flow Calibration of the 40-by-80 foot test section. The goal of the Phase II Flow Calibration is to characterize the 40-by-80 test section flow quality throughout the tunnel operational envelope and report the results.
