AEDC Turbines team attends national symposium
AEDC team members with the Aeropropulsion Combined Test Force attend the Turbine Engine Technology Symposium held Sept. 10-13 in Dayton, Ohio. The symposium is held every two years to showcase the current technology and testing efforts being explored by the turbine engine community. TETS draws an audience of approximately 1,000 engineers, scientists, managers, and operational personnel, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Department of Energy, Federal Aviation Administration, engine and aircraft manufacturers, material and component suppliers, and academia. As of this year, the symposium expanded its scope to include an increased emphasis on review and discussion of critical complementary technologies in the areas of aircraft power generation and thermal management.
