Arnold AFB Water Treatment Plant undergoes major upgrade
Frankie Hill, lead operator at the Arnold Air Force Base Water Treatment Plant, discusses the new tube settlers added as part of multimillion-dollar renovation project at the plant Oct. 8, 2020. Theses tube settlers, one of which is pictured at left, remove an increased amount of solids from water as it is treated which increases the efficiency of plant filters. Behind Hill are sedimentation basins used to remove particles from water coming into the plant for treatment. Each of these basins received a protective coating during the recently-completed renovations.
