AEDC Commander applauds community STEM event
Bryce Spencer, center, was a first-place winner in the Coffee Airfoilers Model RC Club June 26, 2021, airplane toss competition hosted by the club to coincide with the Arnold Engineering Development Complex 70th anniversary. Also pictured are AEDC Commander Col. Jeffrey Geraghty, right, and AEDC Vice Director Jason Coker. Youth participating in the event were tasked with assembling small balsa wood airplanes, with prizes going to those whose planes flew the furthest from the launch line. The event was intended to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, interest among students taking part. (U.S. Air Force photo by Bradley Hicks)
