Tested and tried: Arnold AFB conducts exercise

During an exercise led by Arnold Engineering Development Complex’s Inspector General’s Office and the Commander’s Wing Inspection Team, Fire and Emergency Services personnel conduct reconnaissance of the site of a simulated fire and explosion July 12, 2022, at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. In the exercise, a terrorist attack was simulated in which the truck had crashed and nearby an explosion had occurred causing a fire. The exercise tested the response by various organizations on base. Due to the heat index, personnel did not wear all the gear they would in a real-life situation.
