Tested and tried: Arnold AFB conducts exercise
During an exercise led by Arnold Engineering Development Complex’s Inspector General’s Office and the Commander’s Wing Inspection Team, Fire and Emergency Services personnel move a simulated victim to be sprayed down by a fire hose for decontamination July 12, 2022, at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. In the exercise, a terrorist attack was simulated in which a truck had crashed and nearby an explosion had occurred causing a fire and a chemical release. The exercise tested the response by various organizations on base. Due to the heat index, personnel did not wear all the gear they would in a real-life situation.
