Arnold service members, first responders complete new combat care training course

Tech. Sgt. Mark Friskel, an independent duty medical technician at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee, right, watches as Tech. Sgt. Ethan Cross applies a tourniquet to a simulated victim during Tactical Combat Casualty Care training Aug. 15, 2022, at the Arnold AFB Medical Aid Station. TCCC trainees are taught lifesaving techniques, strategies and procedures, allowing those who have been trained to provide best practice trauma care both on and off the battlefield. The first level of TCCC training is required by all Department of Defense service members by April 2023. Pictured in the background are Jason Layne, left, and Christopher Schwegler, both with Arnold AFB Security Forces.
