Woods Reservoir completed 70 years ago this month
Crews work to clear a trench in January 1951 as part of the Elk River Dam project. The dam, constructed to create Woods Reservoir, was completed 70 years ago this month. Woods Reservoir has since supplied cooling water to the test facilities at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. Arnold AFB is the headquarters of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.
