Arnold Medical Aid Station hosts drug take-back, opioid response training event

Meredith Hugh, a regional overdose prevention specialist with the Franklin County Prevention Coalition, shows a device to administer naloxone during an event to train and certify interested individuals in the use of the opioid reversal drug at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., Feb. 23, 2023. The state of Tennessee requires that in order for individuals administering the drug to be protected by the state’s Good Samaritan law they must be certified through a training course. Certification can also be obtained through an online course. The Arnold Medical Aid Station hosted the training in conjunction with a drug take-back event.
