Col. Randel Gordon, left, Arnold Engineering Development Complex commander, practices controlling a fire hose before entering the mobile structure fire trainer at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., Feb. 28, 2023. Backing up Gordon is Kip Luttrell, an Arnold AFB Fire and Emergency Services crew chief. Firefighters work in two-person teams. The trainer uses propane to fuel fires for a more controllable situation for training.
